When removing heavy makeup and mascara, gently massage a nickel size amount of cleanser onto face and over mascara before adding water. Keeping eyes closed, add a small amount of water to hands and massage into face to emulsify the cleanser. Once mascara feels dissolved, rinse very well with slightly warm water.
